Design completed for Rail Baltica Iecava Maintenance Facility in Latvia
The State Railway Technical Inspectorate has granted final approval for the design of the Rail Baltica Iecava Infrastructure Maintenance Facility, fulfilling all design conditions required for the three construction permits. The Rail Baltica mainline section from Riga to the Lithuanian border has been prioritized, with construction expected to commence in the upcoming months.
ERB Rail is building relationships with local companies and municipalities
In active preparation for the construction of the Rail Baltica main line, ERB Rail JV PS is establishing contacts with local municipalities, the Latvian construction industry and local partners. Cooperation with suppliers will be based on values such as quality, safety, health and environmental protection.
Catherine Trautmann: Rail Baltica is a symbol of equality between the citizens of the EU beyond economic metrics
Mme Catherine Trautmann, the European Coordinator for the North-Sea Baltic Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), which includes Rail Baltica, visited Riga to attend the Rail Baltica mainline kick-off event in Latvia on 21 May 2024. During her visit, she met with the management teams of Rail Baltica delivery organizations and the officials from the relevant ministries to discuss the project’s status and key priorities.
