More than 10 new companies have joined the supply chain for the construction of the southern section of the Rail Baltica mainline

Since March, an additional 13 Latvian companies have registered on ERB Rail’s procurement platform for the Rail Baltica mainline project. In total, ERB Rail’s supplier registry currently includes 266 companies, of which 235 are Latvian businesses. The project engages specialists from various regions across Latvia, including the municipalities of Bauska, Jelgava, Aizkraukle, and Ogre.

In May, more than 150 employees worked daily across the construction sites of the southern section of the Rail Baltica mainline. With the start of the summer construction season, the companies involved in the project anticipate further growth in both workforce numbers and the amount of machinery operating on site.

ERB Rail’s procurement platform operates on principles similar to Latvia’s Electronic Procurement System, ensuring a transparent and competitive environment for procurement procedures. Companies can apply to participate in works and services across a wide range of fields, including earthworks, pipeline construction, concrete works, road construction, metal structures, and the supply of reinforced concrete structures.
