The Site Construction Manager Assistant is responsible for the efficient and successful execution of construction works within a specific construction field (for example: road surfaces, highways, structures). The position includes ensuring procurement, planning, and resource management, as well as compliance with occupational safety, quality control, and environmental protection requirements throughout the project.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Higher education in transport infrastructure engineering, construction management, or a related.
  • Assist the Site Construction Manager in performing day-to-day duties. 
  • Supervise construction activities on site and ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements. 
  • Prepare short-term work schedules and support the Site Construction Manager in mid-term planning. 
  • Analyze and interpret project drawings, technical specifications, and requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with all safety standards and procedures, while systematically recording on-site observations and best practices. 
  • Conduct quality control and site inspections, and coordinate inspection activities with third parties. 
  • Document unexpected technical difficulties, provide suitable information required by Site Construction Manager, Designers or Support Teams, taking part in resolution process.  
  • Assist with site surveys and measurements when required.   

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Higher education in transport infrastructure engineering, construction management, or a related field. Final-year students may also apply.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Site Construction Manager Assistant, Site Engineer, or in a similar position, particularly in earthworks and road construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction work organization requirements and construction regulatory standards.
  • Experience working with the Construction Information System (BIS) will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. 
  • Ability to adapt to the different stages of the Project and eventual changes to the plan.  
  • Knowledge of the Latvian language and English language proficiency, both spoken and written, to perform duties in relation to all colleagues coming from JV partner companies.
  • Valid driving license (Category B).
