South Utilities Manager

Oversee and coordinate on-site Utility construction works, ensuring compliance with approved Designs, Contractual Requirements, Budgets, Schedules, Latvian legislation, and Company Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, while managing Subcontractors, Documentation, interdisciplinary coordination, and acceptance of works.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise on-site Utility construction works, involving external engineering networks (electricity, electronic communications, gas and other Utilities, if required), ensuring full compliance with approved Designs and technical specifications.
  • Prepare, review, and manage Project documentation, including Method Statements, Work Execution Plans, Material Approval Forms, and other related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate Records, Documentation and Reports, related to Utility installations, including as-built drawings, Statutory Undertakers Utility permits, Inspections and Tests reports, and Contractor documentation.
  • Control of the performance of the Utility Subcontractors works in accordance with the Contract deadlines, Designs, approved Budgets and other conditions.
  • Plan and supervise Subcontractor daily, weekly and monthly work. Organize meetings on Site to ensure daily work is done accordingly Schedule and to plan next daily construction work.
  • Plan and conduct acceptance of works by Statutory Undertakers and Engineer in consultation with the South Management team, GMT Utility Manager, Supervisors and Subcontractors.
  • Coordination of interdisciplinary works with Section Management Team discipline Managers. Prepare and present optimal solutions for all parties involved.
  • Ensure compliance of construction works with Latvian legislation and the company’s internal quality system.
  • Implement Quality control measures and inspections. Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and Utility discipline Standards and codes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or the equivalent experience.
  • Preferable construction practice certificate: Management and supervision of electrical installation works (up to 35 kV) or Management and supervision of construction works for transmission, storage, distribution, and end-user gas and oil supply systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Utilities maintenance and/or construction, including Utilities management on infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience delivering Utility projects in collaboration with Statutory Undertakers across power, water, gas, fuel, or telecommunications environments.
  • Knowledge of the Latvian language and English language proficiency, both spoken and written, to perform duties in relation to all colleagues coming from JV partner companies.
  • Good knowledges in AutoCad, MS Visio or similar Design IT tools.
  • Driving license of category B.
