(SOUTH REGIONAL MANAGEMENT TEAM)

The South Regional Management Team Environmental Supervisor’s core responsibility is to establish, maintain and implement the Environmental Management System for the South Region based in Iecava.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To work closely with the Environmental General Supervisor and the QSHE director to develop and implement the strategies and processes defined by the General Management Team.
  • To ensure compliance of E.R.B. Rail delivered works and that of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, with contractual requirements, the Environmental Management System, and any other environmental requirements.
  • To conduct / arrange internal and external Environmental audits and reviews, including relevant Environmental monitoring, to assess compliance with Environmental standards and requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and verify the effectiveness of the Environmental management systems.
  • To provide advice and guidance (including training where required) to the Regional Management Teams to assist the sustainable and environmentally friendly delivery of construction activities.
  • To facilitate environmental impact assessments (EIAs) or environmental site assessments (ESAs) and develop mitigation measures and strategies to address identified risks.
  • In consultation with the Regional Management Teams, to provide support to suppliers to ensure that sustainability data and reports and vehicle and plant use data is submitted on time each period, complete and accurate.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

  • Engineer’s degree in Environment or related field.
  • At least 5 years of working experience as an environmental specialist.
  • High level of English, both spoken and written (at least at B1 level).
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines to attend the Project objectives.
  • Ability to adapt to the different stages of the Project and eventual changes to the plan.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
