ERB Rail is building relationships with local companies and municipalities

In active preparation for the construction of the Rail Baltica main line, ERB Rail JV PS is establishing contacts with local municipalities, the Latvian construction industry and local partners. Cooperation with suppliers will be based on values such as quality, safety, health and environmental protection.

The international joint venture E.R.B. Rail JV PS (ERB Rail) is registered in Latvia and was established by three of Europe’s leading engineering and construction companies in the road, rail, steel and large concrete construction sectors: Eiffage Génie Civil SAS (France), Budimex S.A. (Poland) and Rizzani de Eccher S.p.A. (Italy).

Companies that meet the high quality and safety standards and are willing to become suppliers to ERB Rail are invited to contact www.erbrail.com with information on the range of goods and services that would help the project.

Last week, ERB Rail hosted many local authorities, business associations, manufacturers, service providers and universities at its office in Riga, 15 Matrožu Street, with the aim of introducing the ERB Rail management team and informing them about the future opportunities this project can bring to the Latvian economy, regions, local manufacturers and educational institutions.

“ERB Rail is a newly formed company in Latvia, looking forward to working with local stakeholders and supply chain partners. The company brings together unique experience and expertise of high-speed rail from across Europe. ERB Rail have signed an eight year contract to build Rail Baltica mainline through Latvia. We will work with and involve local construction companies and other service providers to successfully build the high-speed route through the country. This will involve a variety of different services and skills where local companies and service providers can support,” emphasises Andy Swift, The Project & Construction Director of ERB Rail.

“We will need the help of the local workforce, as we will be able to offer different career opportunities in a wide range of professions. Our engagement with local engineers, existing and future students is critical to the project’s success, and for new engineers the project will provide unique added value in their career development,” says Andy Swift.
