These access roads will be used both for the delivery of construction materials for the Rail Baltica railway line and, after the completion of the railway, for ensuring its operation.

In the section of the regional road P92 Iecava–Stelpe, where an overpass over the mainline will be constructed, the width of the access road embankment is approximately 10 meters. The access road will connect the regional road P92 with the planned Rail Baltica Iecava regional station and will function as a public road. According to the construction design, the access road will also include a pedestrian sidewalk, which will be combined with the carriageway.

In the southern section of the Rail Baltica mainline, active construction is currently taking place along 30 km, divided into seven construction permits. In total, the southern section is 45 km long and includes 11 construction permits. The number of access roads varies in each permit, mainly depending on the length of the specific section, which ranges from 700 meters up to 10 kilometers. In most cases, access roads will be located on both sides of the newly constructed railway, although in some places they will be built on only one side.

Watch the video about the construction of access roads:

The photo album about the construction of access roads can be viewed here.

13.04.2026.

During the active construction phase of Rail Baltica in the Bauska municipality, access roads to the main railway line are […]

[1
231,225,224,23
