Latvian subcontractors provide both part of the project&#8217;s supply chain and construction and support services in a wide range of areas<\/strong> &#8211; from design and earthworks to infrastructure construction, engineering communications, environmental services, concrete testing, provision of machinery and equipment, and other works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The following specialized companies are involved in the project: AS &#8220;Ce\u013cuprojekts,&#8221; SIA &#8220;Betona p\u0113t\u012bjumu centrs,&#8221; SIA &#8220;VentEko,&#8221; and SIA &#8220;KEMEK Engineering,&#8221; as well as large infrastructure companies: SIA &#8220;Binders,&#8221; SIA &#8220;CBS Igate,&#8221; and VAS &#8220;Latvijas autoce\u013cu uztur\u0113t\u0101js.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The Kurzeme region company SIA &#8220;Timberteh&#8221; is participating in deforestation work on the southern section of the main route, preparing the territory for future construction stages.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Reinis Persijs Jurkovskis, Commercial Director of SIA &#8220;Timberteh&#8221;, emphasizes: &#8220;As a company from Kurzeme, Liep\u0101ja, we are truly proud to be part of such a large-scale infrastructure project, noting that &#8220;Work on the Rail Baltica project is challenging \u2013 the main track crosses swampy areas in places, it is difficult for machinery to operate, weather conditions change, and quick reactions and close cooperation with other participants are required. We are clearing the area, cleaning up the territory, and additionally cutting down trees and bushes where necessary so that other contractors can continue their work. We are working in tandem with others to move the process forward without unnecessary delays.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>To date, 253 companies have registered on the procurement platform of ERB Rail, including 222 or 88% from Latvia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The platform operates on similar principles to the Electronic Procurement System, ensuring a transparent and competitive environment for procurement.
